Getting a Degree with No Money

While K-12 is now implemented here in the Philippines and most countries around the Globe, most  High School graduates are not going to college and took the advantage of earning money instead. Should you go to college and get a degree for yourself?

While it is true that even a college degree will not 100% land you on a job and get you a good high paying job right away as a degree holder such as myself and a very competitive industry we now live in. It will still be a great advantage to the majority of people who only have a High School diploma. May not sound efficient but at least you are one step ahead to getting hired.

If money is the problem in such cases as I did when I entered college, I advise you to get a scholarship and not a loan as much as possible because scholarships are free financial assistance while you are studying and the only perk is that you must maintain a specific average. There are so many scholarships available to students who are financially incapable and don't be afraid to try and apply them all to ensure financial assistance on your education. Some assistance maybe from the college or university that you are going to enroll in so better inquire early to get an academic scholarship or various scholarships that the school offers. You could also try government sponsored scholarships such as from Commission on Higher Education, political sponsorship, DSWD and more.

Scholarships may cover your tuition and miscellaneous fees but how about your allowances and school projects? School uniforms and school supplies? That is when I took the courage to master my time and energy. While most school hours in college are not 7 to 5 like in our High School days, this means that we have more free time to spare and can venture us up to 5 hours minimum. By that free time, you can land a descent job even when you are still 16 years old. Yes! With at least 16 years old, you can land a part-time job to various fast food chains. Why I specifically implied fast food chains? Because it is the ideal workplace when you are a student finding a part time job. Not only that you will a surefire income generating part time job, you can also take advantage of its working hours flexibility, free food and the greatest platform to enhance, gain knowledge and experience before you graduate.

I, myself, graduated with this kind of experience and got my self a degree with a distinction of magna cum laude and I know you could to. Money matters and your ambitions too. So never lose hope and keep achieving. Keep believing!
